For me, tied for best ramen in the Irvine area with Hiro Nori. The best here is the one-of-a-kind Green Chili Shio with green onions, which is impossible to get tired of. Broth is a spicy sinus-and-throat-clearing fragrant savory flavor bomb! The noods here are chewy, wavy and thicker than normal ramen noods, but delicious! Also, two must tries: 1. Must try the juicy piping hot fried chicken with that sauce! 2. Real... View all feedback.
What Kyle Bistline doesn't like about Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai Irvine:
I don't find any reason to eat ramen any more here. it used to be a good restaurant, free tea etc. Now the ramen price went from 15 17 19 21 in just 3 years, no more free tea. Time to move on. 価格が高すぎる!? View all feedback.
One of the best ramen in So Cal. Food here is consistently good along with service.Go to here is the green chili shio ramen for me.

My favorite place to eat ramen noodles. Their broth is tasty, not too salty and not greasy. The fresh noodles are delicious with perfect consistency and the meat is so good!
The ramen is insane here, I highly recommend this place! The servers are always nice, the place is clean, the food is amazing, and the prices are reasonable. I do have to warn you though, if it's the weekend, be prepared to wait. Put your name down and have your phone in your hand at all times because the wait can either be 10 minutes or an hour. Other than that, if you love Guy Fieri and want to go to flavor town, go to Kitakita.
I’ve tried many ramen in/near Irvine and this one is one of my favorite. I seldom give all 5 stars to a restaurant. I always have kitakata ramen with dried seaweed and a seasoned egg. The ban nai bowl has 1:1 meat rice ratio. The new product, cold ramen, released on 7/1/2023 tastes great. The soup tasted like soy sauce with ice cubes rather than the original broth, leading to a slightly salty but free of oil taste. The shashu has a wasabi and a piece of lemon on the side.In addition, the fried chicken is really good!
