Menu
Here you will find the menu of Doorsteps in Ipswich. At the moment, there are 14 meals and drinks on the menu.
Nestled in Ipswich, this unique café offers a quirky atmosphere infused with 1940s charm. While some patrons rave about the delicious vegan options and friendly service, others express disappointment over poor menu adherence, elevated prices, and cleanliness issues. The ambiance, often described as inviting, occasionally falls short due to odd music choices and clutter. Though some dishes earn high marks for flavor, mishaps involving non-vegan ingredients have left several customers dissatisfied. While the café attracts a loyal following, especially for those who appreciate local dining, others may seek alternatives that align more closely with their dietary values.

Called in for late breakfast before hitting the shops. Service, atmosphere and food were excellent. Very reasonably priced would rather support local firms than large corporate chains. Will return View all feedback.

I went to this restaurant for lunch since I was in the area. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. They were playing music from World War II, which was a bit odd. During a business trip to Ipswich, we decided to stop for lunch at this lovely restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the extra touches and the welcoming atmosphere, which made it feel like a family-run business that strives to exceed expectations. The menu had a good variety of options and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the refreshing cucumber water. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area!
I went to this restaurant for lunch since I was in the area. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. They were playing music from World War II, which was a bit odd. The layout of the restaurant was strange, with boxes cluttering the space and only one table available right at the entrance. My cappuccino arrived without any chocolate on top, and I wasn't even offered any. Overall, the ambiance was not very inviting and it didn't feel particularly clean. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're in your 70s and enjoy nostalgic music. The display fridge was covered with a table cloth, so I couldn't see the food being prepared. The restaurant also looked nothing like the pictures online.
I would not recommend this vegan cafe as the owner is selling halal meat, which goes against the concept of a vegan establishment. The food is overpriced and the wait time is unacceptable. I will not be returning and plan to support a more ethical cafe in the future.
Great healthy food, fresh salad to go in your sandwich, pasta, wrap and whatever you want really at a reasonable price. Also fresh baked sweet treats. The best chocolate caramel shortbread ever!!
