Menu

In the heart of the community lies a traditional pub that offers both charm and challenges. Patrons appreciate the friendly staff and community spirit, while the quality of food varies significantly. While some dishes, like the fish and chips, receive rave reviews, others fail to impress, often deemed overpriced and reminiscent of frozen fare. Service can be hit-or-miss, with long wait times reported during busy hours. The ambiance, nostalgic yet needing attention, could enhance the overall experience. Ultimately, this pub holds potential, provided it addresses cleanliness, food quality, and service consistency to meet patrons’ expectations.

Was Karen González at Bristol Arms a mag?
The food was good and reasonably price with good dozed portions. The service was excellent and the location superb. There aren't many pubs nowadays that eould let you sit and play games and have a great time. If I lived closer, I eould go there all the time. View all feedback.
What Tony Joris dislikes about Bristol Arms:
Extremely overpriced food, and I'm used to London pricing. I've never had a flatter pint of Lager in my life. Dirty table and toilets. I don't expect the same urgency in service as in the capital, but 3 bar staff all serving one person, whilst I was ignored, waiting at the bar for over 15mins is unacceptable anywhere. First and last time. View all feedback.
Really good quality food in a nice local pub, fish meat and veggie options for all. Dog friendly and our lab was welcomed with treats, very friendly atmosphere and great service, highly recommended, reasonably priced too, parking nearby and only a short 5-10 minute walk from the Harwich foot ferry. Great views across the estuary. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5
"Fantastic food! Price per person: £10–£20. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 4/5. Highly recommend the Seafood Platter!"
This is a wonderful local pub in Shotley Gate. The staff is friendly, there's a good selection of beers, and it's dog-friendly as well. The views are fantastic. Price per person: £1–10. Service: 5 stars. Atmosphere: 5 stars. Parking options: Free parking lot and free street parking.
