Manor At Belstead Brook - Ipswich
Manor At Belstead Brook
Description
The Belstead Brook Hotel restaurant received mixed reviews in various areas. While some praised the lovely food and friendly staff, others experienced slow service, subpar dishes, and unprofessional staff. Despite some positives like the fresh ingredients, a short, promising menu, and delicious afternoon tea for a takeaway buffet, the negative feedback regarding slow refund processes, disappointing restaurant experience, and unresponsive customer service were notable. Overall, the restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere and good food, but improvements are needed in various aspects to ensure a consistent and enjoyable dining experience for all customers.

A group of 13 women had a Pensioner’s Lunch here which was two courses for £14.95. There was a large choice of dishes, the food didn’t take long to come out and the young waiters were very obliging. We were in a lovely room with Wedgwood Blue walls. Incidentally, the chips were some of the best I have ever tasted!
I recently dined at this restaurant in the Spring of 2022 as it was starting to return to normal after a series of lockdowns. It was great to return and see it fully up and running again. The menu is outstanding! I had a delicious goat cheese and beet salad to start, followed by seafood linguine. I'm glad I'm staying at the hotel for a few more days because there are so many other tempting dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and attentive while also being discreet, and overall dining in this charming oak-paneled restaurant is a delightful experience. I highly recommend it!
