What Jane Hazimie doesn't like about Alestine's:
We heard about this place and its uniqueness-but did not realize the set up was not doable for me-but we ordered to go-they do not usually do this-made an exception-but we found the food greasy and not what we expected. Plus the food is cooked...in an old bus made as kitchen then carried into restaurant-very different-but an experience-and very busy. View all feedback. What HJ Marshall likes about Alestine's:
The famous “bus” restaurant. The lady boss single-handedly run the place. The food was amazing and the desserts were just right. The place was cozy and warm. The decor was nice. It’s cash only. They take e-transfer.Will return next time visiting Inuvik. View all feedback.

What a great find! This small local restaurant has a focused menu with food that so far has been unmatched in Inuvik.
Gorgeous little cabin beside the bus serving up hot fresh food. The fish and chips was fantastic, and a very large serving for the price as well.
Amazing! I looked forward to this all the way from Saskatchewan
Best bison burger in town. Pretty expensive but what do you expect when you're so far north. Nice and cozy and the kitchen bus is cool.
Excellent seafood and fries. Best fried fish north of
This unique restaurant in Inuvik offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience with its kitchen located in an old bus that serves as a mobile kitchen. The food has received mixed reviews, with some finding it greasy and not as expected, while others rave about the delicious, fresh, and hot dishes served quickly. Specialties like whitefish, reindeer, bison chili, and fish tacos have been highly praised by visitors. The atmosphere is described as wonderful and friendly, with Pam being highlighted as an exceptionally friendly hostess. The restaurant has limited seating but offers a cozy and casual dining experience. Overall, the restaurant seems to be a popular choice among both locals and tourists looking for a unique and tasty meal in Inuvik.
