What a wonderful place, we had a magical time sitting upstairs in the warm sunshine. Desserts were extraordinary and only if it weren’t 3000 miles away...
Went once for lunch and the fish tacos were really good, 2 days later went and tried the reindeer chile and donut, excellent. Even ordered some to take out for a lunch on the road with our RV! Thank you Pam and the rest of the great people working hard to make you dinner a nice experience!
The whitefish fish tacos were very tasty! And the fish was caught fresh that afternoon so I'd say it was every bit as good as fish you'd get in Vancouver or in the Maritimes! Very friendly and speedy service, love supporting the local family run business!
This is my second time coming to Inuvik for work, and I finally made it to Alestine's this evening. I ate a fish taco (battered white fish with chipotle sauce and fresh mango coleslaw), along with a poutine and a soda pop. Oh my goodness, it was an amazing taco, very tasty and fresh!! The fries were also homemade. The food definitely had a homemade taste to it. The ambiance was very casual and welcoming, and the service very friendly and quick. You can also choose to had it to go, or eat on site, which includes table service. There is both outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely a must see and eating spot !!!
Holy wow!!! Fantastic quirky little spot. The kitchen is the bus and the tiny house is the dining room. Deck out front and deck up top with a fire ring out back. Fantastic burgers, reindeer chili and delicious delicious poutine.. can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu
