However, when I got my plate, oxtail was too greasy and very little butter beans. They actually poured so much of that greasy gravy on the white rice you could not recognize if it was white and too swampy with the gravy. The plantain was not fried properly, one side was done and the other... View all feedback.
Wow, these guys really know how to cook! I even jokingly told the cashier that they should think about offering a buffet. (LOL)
The food is incredibly tasty. I ordered the oxtail dish along with a Kola Champagne soft drink. The portion size is more than enough for one person.
The restaurant's name is actually Lee's Caribbean. I tried their oxtail with white rice because they had run out of rice and peas. Unfortunately, when my plate arrived, the oxtail was overly greasy and had very few butter beans. They poured so much greasy gravy over the white rice that it was unrecognizable and too soggy. The plantain was not properly cooked; one side was done, while the other side was barely cooked. The atmosphere and service were great, but if this is how they prepare Jamaican food, I won't be returning.
Home-cooked soul food! Bomb!
