Plenty of on street free... read more While staying in Palm Desert , we enjoy going to The Red Kettle in Idyllwild Pine Cove in mountains) for either breakfast and/or lunch. Plenty of on street free parking. No limit on parking. Quaint little town. Terrific selection of food on the menu. The staff are fabulous and have worked there for years. Our server Kathy W was professional , courteous, personable, and knowledgeable. She assisted us in ordering lunch on Wednesday, June 5th. Service was terrific. Be aware that many stores are closed on Tuesdays. I ordered the Malibu Chicken Sandwich large and delicious. My wife ordered the Chicken Cross sandwich. Also delicious. Highly recommend. You can eat inside or on the small patio.

We truly enjoyed our meals, and two staff m... read more The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the lively pre-July 4th atmosphere made for a great experience. We truly enjoyed our meals, and two staff members stood out: the woman who painted the raccoons and the one who sang the National Anthem at the July 4th parade. We felt very welcomed; the staff was inclusive, patient, and kind. The food was so good that we hoped to return, but unfortunately, we never had the chance. Overall, our experience here was perfect.

WOW, it was simply amazing and all the staff were exceptional, such a team effort... read more If you’re ever up at Idyllwild then it’s a must to stop in at the Red Kettle. WOW, it was simply amazing and all the staff were exceptional, such a team effort by all. It’s definitely a hopping place especially with the locals. Kathy our server was great.
