This beachside restaurant provided excellent food, friendly and professional service in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. We went on a recommendation from a French friend and weren't disappointed. Shame summer menu changed , removed skate from the menu. The best skate we have had in France ((see previous review) We drive 1 hour especially for this dish
Complimentary aperitif with tapenade and then both my wife and I had the 12.90 euro menu both having one of the nicest and thickest skate wings we have eaten in a delicious caper sauce with chips and salad. Then my wife had Isle Flottant and I a superb home made tarte tartin with cream and ice cream. A 50 cl rose at 6 euros and coffees at 2.00 euros each. The service was very friendly and efficient and the place full although it was market day. Excellent value and quality of food - we will certainly return.
Given that many places are closed at this time of year in S France, we were delighted stumble on this busy beachside restaurant. It is quirky, with a tree growing inside and birds flying around, but the food was tasty, served with a smile and was good value. My skate wing with a wine and caper sauce was utterly delicious, well cooked and the fish was very fresh. The owner apologised for the fact that the toilets were 'unisex' when I asked where they were, which I considered thoughtful. They were clean and fine!Easy parking (out of season) right by the restaurant and the beach is a stone's throw away.

The meal included an aperitif and wonderful foie gras (perhaps to impress the Chicago visitors).
Great for lunch and right next to Toulon airport on the beach - we called in with time to spare before our flight back to the UK, my wife had a huge bucket of mussels and I had fish - excellent service, great food, good atmosphere. The waiter looks just like Inspector Jaques Clouseau (Pink Panther - Peter Sellars) which made the trip even more enjoyable!
