I grew up in this area and Bowen's grocery is a favorite Mom and Pop grocery store of the locals. Stop by for a sandwich or burger and an ice cream cone. They also sell some Amish bread, little trinkets and knick-knacks and candy that my grandparents would serve in a candy dish such as candied almonds. Staff is really nice and place can get packed during lunch hour, but the wait is certainly worth it. View all feedback.
What Stephen S doesn't like about Bowen's Grocery:
Not the same since it was sold to new owner. Staff is Ok but not as friendly as before. Meat counter and deli slower and mor emphasis on alcohol than food. All in all still worth going to but for me has dropped from 5 to 3 stars. View all feedback.
Increased selection of wines and product choices. People are friendly and helpful. We have never hesitated to come here. It is a great neighborhood store.
I ordered a sausage and egg sandwich. I couldnt tell if I had sausage or scrapple and the egg was brown. I couldnt eat it.
Great deli in the back amazing stuffed pork chops and fresh baked goods! Oh and a delicious half smoke!
It has definitely changed, but still enjoy sandwiches to order and convenience! BBQ has saved me on many pot lucks!
