Our first time at this restaurant. we were looking for upscale Italian. our food was very good but we were disappointed to see items such as Fois Gras, lamb and... read more Our first time at this restaurant. we were looking for upscale Italian. our food was very good but we were disappointed to see items such as Fois Gras, lamb and veal on the menu. We don't eat meat at all, but I thought Fois Gras was finally a thing of the past? it would be nice if this restaurant had a few plant based entrees on the menu. It is hard to rate the service since we were there on a concert night so the place was jammed and the service was slow.

We just got back from Tuscany two weeks ago, where we fell in love with the food, but incredibly, this meal was even better. I had the cacio e pepe with truffles shaved right at the table—absolute perfection. My husband had a dish featuring wild boar ragu and duck breast, and it was equally perfect. The service was also OUTSTANDING. I don’t usually write reviews, and I certainly don’t say this about many places. I would travel from Dallas to Houston just to dine at Potentate. It was JUST PERFECTION.

We enjo... read more My husband and I dined at Potente after two locals made the recommendation. The staff warmly greeted us and we were seated in the beautiful dining room. We enjoyed cocktails and chose a bottle of Viader from their extensive wine list. Nicholaus, our server, was exceptionally attentive and provided great recommendations. Dinner was splendidly delicious! Each plate was beautifully presented and the flavors were harmonious. There is magic happening in the kitchen of Potente. We concluded our coursed meal with espresso martinis and pistachio cheesecake. It is very likely I will drive 4.5 hours again very soon, simply to enjoy this experience again. Absolutely wonderful!
