Food is made fresh and incredibly tasty. The drinks are priced fairly and very strong. The owner is a very nice man and all of this makes it a 5/5 establishment. However, there's a 30% surcharge for inflation. I know the inflation these days is higher than ever and I was afraid it would come back to bite the consumer eventually but this made it so expensive we can't really afford to come back. What Jennifer Nguyen doesn't like about Nikos Grill:
Had a hankering for some seafood and picked up some drive thru snow crab legs. Sauce was delicious!!! Only about 10-15mins wait for the food after ordering at the window. Will be back to check out the rest of their extensive menu! View all feedback.
This is a great place. The food is made when ordering. It can take 5-20 minutes, depending on what you order. This is a privately run business, so do not expect it to run like other fast food sites. Prices are reasonable and the menu has a lot to choose.
The first time here. I have a gyro sandwich with extra meat and onion rings and an iced tea. Staff/owners were friendly and the food came out quickly. Everything looked good. Fresh onions, salads and tomatoes, lots of meat and soft pita bread. I'm sure I'm back.
Finally got a chance to try this place, and it was good to wait. It's tidy, clean, good running and Nick himself is a great guy. And it is open to immersion and no masks required. He is not only nice to customers, but also to his staff, and he jumps in to help them if necessary. I saw him cook schish kabob and some other dishes too. The gyros of my wife were full and the Pita bread was hot and fresh. And yes, he prepares Gyros as it should be.... on a vertical Rotisserie spits. The meat was hot and juicy, the tzatziki sauce had gurke and dill in it, and my wife said she thinks he makes the sauce on premisse. All for $7.99. You can also make it a big one for $2.00. It is also available as a tray. I had two records. And as a local from Chicago, I was pleasantly surprised. My first choice was the Italian beef on a gonnella roll. Delicious, much of it, with onions, roasted paprika and Giardenera and au jus on the side. Next time, I'll drop it. My second choice was a Viennese Beef Polish Sausage. He calls it Chicago style when I asked how I know it and what we call it in Chicago, Jewtown Style. This is the pole on a poppy bean, dressed with mustard, onions and sports pudders. It also offers Shawarma, Muffuletta and Platter, Wings, Pizza and much more. Do you have a taste for falafel? Check. You want a pack? No problem. Cooked seafood or a catfish plate? He covered you! You want a steak? 3 different species await you. Wine grape leaves? He did. Looking for a healthy choice in food? He has six of them as wraps and salads. Are you looking for Halal? Don't look! He's got you. But wait! There are more! You want a cold bottle of beer? He has both domestic and imports. No design beer now because of COVID regulations in the city. Frozen Margarita? Four sizes. My wife ordered one to go and love it. Frozen Daiquiris? 25 flavors including liquid marijuana, hypnotic and octane 190 Long Island Iced Tea? Betcha! How about Jell-O shots? 5 flavors and you can buy them individually for $1.59 or by bucket for $12.00 Great for an end of the week, after work celebration. Outdoors it is also open, but we sat inside... This time. It's open Monday to Saturday, but never Sunday. I feel a song is coming! Located on the corner of 290 and Mangum, with parking and car thru, Nick's Grill offers you any desired way. Stop and tell Nick Hello! We'll be back soon! I forgot to make pictures this time, but I will update the next time and review. UPDATE: Today I had Gyros and a Chicago Polish and my wife had Roast Beef Muffuletta and we shared a order of the Pommes. And confident, here are the pictures!
I had the Philli cheese steak to write nothing at home. The burger and gyro sounded good and I was said was more popular. Prices were good and beers looked good price, so I gave 4 stars. I want to try it again and then update it. Great menu.
We came here with my husband for the crawfish. They were live which beats the other places where they boil frozen ones. We ordered 5lbs of crawfish with 3 pounds of GIANT shrimp, corn and potatoes with medium heat. The chef prepared it magically, very nice guy who served us well. The food was delicious, but was even better was the customer service. This is a genuine small business owned by a guy with a heart of gold and it shows how he takes care of his customers, just like family. Great atmosphere. A must stop! We were so full and about to pop at the end of the food. Just an FYI. You get every Penny's worth. 5 Nick! Thank you.
