I also have a rather annoying and frustrating allergy that can be embarrassing to mention and often complicates my dining experiences. However, our server, who also acted as the bartender, was extremely courteous and took my allergy very seriously, which made my dining experience much more enjoyable. It's quite common for people to not take allergies seriously, and I've often felt nervous about whether my food is saf... View all feedback.
What Adèle doesn't like about Nancy's Hustle:
The food just wasn't very good. We wanted to like everything, and it was just mediocre or below. The vibe is not our style, but I understand that's personal preference. We love real bread, but didn't even want to finish the side we got. While we were there and on the way home, all we could think of is all the other less costly restaurant items we could have gotten from other places that are delicious. We really wante... We enjoyed our second time at Nancy’s Hustle even more than the first! At the end of a long week, it was so nice to be encouraged to take our time with our Thursday night meal. Our server didn’t hurry us at any point, busy as it seemed to be, and our plates came out at just a leisurely enough pace to build a little anticipation between each of them. We felt relaxed and fully satisfied by the end of the meal.I enjoyed every single dish we tried, but highlights were the Nancy Cakes (which I could eat every single day) and the tri tips. With the first bite of each plate, there’s a completely new texture and flavor experience to enjoy. That definitely goes for dessert, too I’ve never had anything like the semifreddo or the Parmesan cheesecake before, and I’d call them both very memorable desserts (I left out the picture I took of the cheesecake because it doesn’t do it justice).Thank you to Nancy’s Hustle for the fantastic dining experience!
Went here for dinner on a whim. They do require reservations for indoor seating, it seems. It is very small, but they had bar seating and outdoor seating available when we got there. The food was so delicious, and the desert was an interesting flavor experience. I will visit again, next time I am in Houston.Food: 5/5
Food was fantastic. Felt like a tapas restaurant, without upscale comfort dishes. We ordered several plates and ate family style. My favorites were the croquettes, the furs with the garlic sauce, the shrimp, and the beef tips… All were fantastic. The shrimps were especially flavorful. I ate them with the shell and without. If you can hassle the consistency of eating the shell, it has a ton more flavor. I highly recommend you give it a try.
Husband and I just had a the most amazing experience at Nancy's Hustle. From the Hostess (entrance) to the wait staff and bartenders. Like being in the East Village but you are in Houston. We enjoyed the Nancy Cakes, Beef dumplings, Parmesan Croquettes, Chicken and Shrimp. Best flavors, not to much just perfect. Each plate was plated so well and presented by wonderful servers. Our table was serviced at just the right time between each plate with no rushed feeling. We had mocktails and they were terrific.
Gosh, what can we say about this wonderful restaurant that hasn't been said before? So let me add to the chorus of praise! This is a wonderful, cozy restaurant that is serving some of the most creative food in Houston. As other reviewers have suggested, do make reservations! The service is fantastic, and the food is both delicious and unique. Nancy's is part of the trend of what I think of as semi-savory desserts, and while it may sound unusual, you will become an instant fan the Parmesan-black pepper cheesecake. (Yes. Cheesecake. If you're a cocktails and wines fan, you will also enjoy all of these creative selections. Have fun. :
