Khang Vietnamese Sandwich Cafe

I visited this restaurant multiple times during the Covid-19 restrictions in 2020 in search of Vietnamese sandwiches, and I ended up discovering Don's Cafe. I was impressed by the size and freshness of their banh mi sandwiches compared to Lee's Sandwiches. The staff is also more friendly at Don's Cafe. However, the dining room has not been open for seating since the pandemic, which I believe may be due to a shortage of staff.

The only thing they have to improve on is their decoration. I give them a 5 for taste. I tried the bánh Mì bò kho and it had the most authentic Vietnamese flavor I have ever tasted in America.

I stopped by for a quick lunch and tried the banh mi bo nuong. The balance of sweet and spicy flavors was just right. I loved it and will definitely return.

The sandwiches are quick and delicious. The bread is good, with a crispy outer crust and soft inside. The meat to vegetable to bread ratio is perfect. Buy 5 sandwiches and get the 6th one free. This is my new go-to spot for banh mi.

The bread had a great balance of crispiness and fluffy texture! The BBQ pork was very tasty, though the chicken was not as flavorful. Sandwiches ranged from $5 to $7 depending on the filling (specialty fillings may cost more), which seemed like a fair price for the quality. The Milk Tea was also good. There is ample parking outside and plenty of seating inside to enjoy the food.
