On the positive side, the staff is usually friendly and accommodating, which adds to a pleasant dining experience. Overall, while Cielito Cafe serves tasty Mexican food, the lengthy wait times and inadequate cooling for outdoor seating prevent me from giving it a full 5-star rating. It's a solid option for Mexican fare, though there's definitely room for enhancement. View all feedback.
What Josh Ramirez doesn't like about Cielito Cafe:
This cafe is absolutely charming! The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The food is delicious, making it a perfect spot for a cute date or a lovely Sunday brunch. View all feedback.
Beautiful small local restaurant in a bungalow with outdoor seating. Breakfast and food were really fresh and delicious. Reviewing the fact that you can customize your order to remove all milk items such as cheese or cream for those of us who are intolerant of lactose. When you visit for the first time, it is important to note that this place is super popular and waiting can be really long and there are no parking spaces.
Cosy little place for breakfast or brunch. You have to go early because it's packed. Her food is super tasty and her staff is also super friendly.
The food is always tasteful, the service attentive and friendly the host remembers name well! I am looking forward to a bigger building one day, as it is quite cozy to maneuver with little space, if it can be quite busy and it is usually a wait, but it is worth how fast you are served and the refreshments they offer during your waiting. Be sure not to park in the crowd nearby, this is reserved for the Guild next door, which will stop a great place when you finish eating at Cielito!
Loved the atmosphere, the food, and service! The only thing that’s bad is parking but that’s pretty much a given with the area. That is the only reason I am not giving it
We have been wanting to check this place out for quite a while, spoiler alert it did NOT disappoint. However I will say get their early as the place is tiny maybe 15 tables inside and some outdoor seating if you can brave the Houston heat. You have to wait outside to hear your name being called. Ok now what you are here for the food, it's authentic Guerrero/Michoacan style. The Red chilachiles were delicious. The menudo was really good also. However the portion size is on the smaller size I could have eaten two bowls easy. We tried the coconut coffee it was too sweet for me but my GF loved it. It's a bit on the pricey side but the food is worth it in my opinion.
