Friendly servers and excellent dispenser sweet tea keep the bustling, affordable spot popular, despite tired decor, cleanliness lapses, inconsistent order accuracy and occasional undercooked takeout. Service and facilities can be uneven (slow seating, restroom problems), and the menu is limited, but loyal locals return for hearty portions and familiar Southern flavors.

The food is made to order, and they have daily lunch specials. You might be greeted when you enter. However, the women's restroom is closed for repairs, leaving the men's restroom as the only option. I've asked multiple times for soap and paper towels, but my requests have gone unanswered.
I've been dining at this restaurant since I was 7, and now I'm 59. My all-time favorite dish has always been the hamburger steak dinner, served with French fries and brown gravy.
When we arrived, we assumed it would be a wait. But no one greeted us, nor did they at least try to sit us down and clean a table off. The lady just finally came to the front and said “it’ll be about a 40min wait” but i looked around to see four dirty tables, two tables waiting on food, while one was talking over their dirty plates. Pit stop 2 so far has been a good experience. Portionscare good and food quality and taste is good. Same for Pit Stop 1 though I dod get a greasy breakfast. Was told the were trying new cooks. Amazingly, the Peak Southern Sweet tea from the dispensing machine is excellent Sweet Souther Tasing tea… yep, machine tea that tastes like granny 's! Only complaint is limited menu. They need Spaghetti or a few other items besides the fried foods and hamburger steak. But still a good 'dinner style food … – show
