We have been to La Carettas many times. The food was always very good and portions were generous. However, this last visit was rather disappointing. The waitress was attentive, but the food seemed rushed and portions had been cut almost in half as compared to previous visits. I hope this is a result of being slammed with customers after the lockdown and not the new norm View all feedback.

The atmosphere is nice. My server was nice but seemed very inexperienced. The food was less than average. The drinks were terrible. And we were charged extra for items that came with the dinner such as pico and sour cream. View all feedback.
Salsa and queso are amazing! highly recommended to get a margarita.
My carnita was great! everything was fresher, the salsa was too good. you won a new customer. the host was also very helpful.
We have slept together and we enjoyed eating and megan was wonderfully cheerful, beautiful and attentive. the unicorn margarita was particularly magical.
We love the personal and the party atmosphere. by covid it was a great curse. I have a question. please put them a permanent stage on the bar as they do when canebreakers play and please a dance floor space large enough to allow us all to get up there. press the band in the front that tiny space in front of him does not encourage to let go. moves it back and opens it. we make the party a party.
Showed up to La Carreta on a Monday afternoon around lunch. Was seated fast and friendly with about 50% of the place filled. Monday is all day happy hour and it is one of the best I have found in Houma. 3$ for a 22 oz beer. Pretty solid. Complimentary chips and salsa. To be clear this is Mexican American, this isn’t authentic Mexican. But for what it is, it’s pretty dang good. Ordered a steak burrito with rice and beans. Good portions for the price. Friendly and prompt service. If I am ever in the area I would return. Can recommend for the good happy hour and solid steak burrito.
