what a sound! What User doesn't like about The Black Jug:
we visited there shortly before christmas, looks as if there were no social distancing what ever, so we sat in the icey cold garden area, it was packed and not much room to eat from the way of people, it looked like. a crushed affair, I was quite shocked. really disturbing in this time we are in and went early when I was cold. Was there last night for gin tasting and supper. Lovely atmosphere, very good service and spectacular food. Will be back.
My family and I wanted to organise a surprise birthday retirement party for my Dad – we’d been to the Black Jug a few times before and enjoyed it.The team accommodated our needs very well beforehand (allowing us to organise decorations, cakes, etc. ahead of time), and on the day itself we had a very enjoyable time. The service was very good, the food was excellent, and the cakes were even brought to our table – we all had a great meal out.Would definitely recommend – and we may well be back next year for another birthday meal!
We visited there just before Christmas, looks like there is no social distancing what so ever, so we sat out in the freezing cold garden area, it was packed and not much room to move out of the way from people eating, it looked like a squashed affair, I was quite shocked. quite worrying really in this time we are in. and left early as I was cold.
You will always get a great plate of food here to add to the great choice of Ales , ciders and wine (not forgetting Ally's horde of Whisky !
