visited the hoppers club on a Saturday evening for a birthday event. even tho was a busy person on Saturday night were very attentive to those sitting on our table. eating came out quite quickly and everyone seemed happy with their meals. the hühneravocado was a great menu choice and was very enjoyed by myself. very recommend this local pub. What User doesn't like about The Hoppers Club:
We used to go here at least weekly and would have family functions. We felt the meals had declined but gave them a second chance with a family function, out of the 7 adults, 1 had a meal that was nice. The meals have really deteriorated. The serving staff were good, but the food wasn't. We won't go back. View all feedback.
We've been frequenting the Hoopers Club for many years, but this was the worst meal we've ever had. The salt and pepper squid was tough and greasy, and the tartare sauce they served was actually just mayonnaise. The gravy that accompanied the chicken schnitzel was tasteless and lacked any seasoning or flavor. The only positive aspect was the service and the burger, which my son enjoyed quite a bit.
This is a charming little club, but unfortunately, the bar staff were quite disappointing. They seemed unenthusiastic and provided very poor service, often looking frustrated. I don't think I'll be returning again.
Our first visit wasn't particularly enjoyable, but the food was good. Unfortunately, the staff were unhelpful and informed us, rather rudely, that they didn't offer table service and that we needed to place our order at the counter, which we weren't aware of.
Haven't been here for many years, maybe 10 years. I knew it had undergone a make over years ago but I'd not seen it until the other day. It looks much nicer than it was. Our food came out really fast, which was a surprise considering we ordered steak and ribs. Are they partially pre-cooked? I've worked in hospitality many years and I've never known pre-cooked steaks to be a thing. Or come out that fast. The kids meals came out right away, which was great, we didn't even ask for that. Love a place that knows you should just pump out any kids orders asap. I don't think it was value for money. I don't like that it's not table service. Although it's had a make over, it's still lacking a bit. I wouldn't rush back here, I'd rate other pub type meal places above this one over all. It's not the worst, I don't have one single thing to pick out, it's just a little niggle from a few aspects.
Over priced for meal size. Ordered a rare steak which was destroyed by the amount of charcoal. My partner had a well done steak which was crucified worse than jesus. Not worth the money. The star is for the fast service. And because you can't give zero star ratings.
