Zippy's Mokauea St - Honolulu

Zippys is the best, it is convenient and its food is the best.

I love zippys courts. korean fried chicken chilie, chilie and flries Portuguese bean suppe mushroom prime burger, etc. unfortunately zippy has changed the orange bang and lilikoi drinks. I got the lilikoi yesterday and it was very watered and tasted more like a lilikoi taste tea. sheet! soouu. everything except the drinks is great imho. = d

The counter person, I think his name was Ronald, was great. We said this was our first time in a zippy. He greeted us at the door, showed us and explained the menu points and gave us samples of Zippy's unique beverage options. He took care of us. The food came fast. It was, okay. My Loco Moco was good, but it was only warm and had not enough engraving for my taste. The eggs were cooked exactly as I asked, but I never had what was essentially a cattle patty on the rice. The other dish, Teri Beef Plate was even less hot and the beef was very chewing and had some gristle. Overall, great service, but not so great food. Will give Zippy a second chance and hope that the next time the food is better.

Great chili moco. Yum. The service was pretty good (new guy training and has something to do, but he was excited and friendly, so that's worth it in my book). The restaurant smells like fat when you go in and feels just a little grim inside, but definitely would be back.
