What User doesn't like about Whole Foods Market Kamakee St:
We're new to plant-based eating and decided to visit Whole Foods to sample some items from the hot bar. We tried the vegan mac and the turkey alternative, and both were amazing! Most of the plant-based alternatives we've tried so far haven't been great, but I was pleasantly surprised this time. It's definitely on my list to make at home! Now I just need to learn how to prepare it myself. View all feedback.
Whole Foods really made a significant impact during our stay in Honolulu. We visited several times, and each time we enjoyed lunch and stocked up on fresh food and snacks for the beach. They have delicious vegan cookies and satisfying options from the buffet. The tofu and vegetable teriyaki dish was particularly good, along with the lime sweet potatoes and the tempeh, which were fantastic. They also offer an excellent selection of vegan cheese, mock meats, and snacks. Since we were staying in a hotel without a kitchen, Whole Foods provided us with fresh alternatives, allowing us to skip restaurants a few times.
I don't often give Whole Foods five stars, but this location truly deserves it. It's an incredible new spot in Waikiki that outshines all the other stores on Oahu. Honestly, I can't think of a reason not to visit! What stands out is their impressive variety of vegan options. The store is beautifully designed and modern. The hot bar features vegan choices like mac and cheese, and you'll find plenty of vegan selections throughout the deli and bakery. They even have vegan croissants! Yes, you read that right—vegan croissants! Along with vegan brownies, coffee cake, blueberry muffins, and much more. There are also vegan mochi, pizza, and sandwiches available. I was genuinely impressed by the extensive range of vegan items throughout the store. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to everyone, especially for those amazing vegan croissants!
As newcomers to plant-based eating, we decided to visit Whole Foods to sample items from the Hot Bar. Both the vegan mac and cheese and the one with the turkey alternative were fantastic! Up until now, we've found most cheese alternatives to be lacking, but this one truly blew us away— I couldn't even tell it wasn't the real thing. It's definitely a must-try! Now, I just need to learn how to make it myself.
I don't often give Whole Foods a perfect five-star rating, but this location truly deserves it. It's a fantastic new spot in Waikiki that surpasses all other Whole Foods in Oahu. Honestly, I can't see any reason to visit those other locations anymore. Why? THIS LOCATION HAS AN ABUNDANCE OF VEGAN OPTIONS! It’s also sleek and modern. The hot bar is packed with vegan choices, including mac and yease, and there are plenty of vegan delights throughout the deli and bakery sections. For instance: Vegan croissants!!!! Yes, you read that correctly. They also offer vegan brownies, pound cake, coffee cake, blueberry muffins, poppyseed muffins, and more. Plus, there’s vegan mochi, pizza, sandwiches, and so many other vegan items scattered throughout the store. I was genuinely impressed. I will definitely return to this location, and I highly recommend it to everyone—especially for those famous vegan croissants!
