Waioli Grill Cafe - Honolulu

Food is great. This place is fucked in the corner of a small parking lot. Your bone marrow bibimbap is something I would recommend. The cattle tongue skewers and the university over Bratbeef.

Stopped in for a drink while I did laundry at Kapahulu laundromat. At first it seemed their bar knowledge was limited so I settled for Suntory Toki on the rocks. But then they taught me about how shochu oolong is a typical drink in Japan, so I tried their mamaki lilikoi hi a nice local interpretation! As a complimentary bar snack, they served chilled summer baby bok choy (literally the coolest complimentary bar snack I've ever been served). There was a mix up in the kitchen, so they gave me the thick cut beef tongue (came with a miso pickled jalapeno instead of the listed pickled Chinese cabbage. A refreshing difference of sweet heat salty flavor combo). Would love to come back and give their food a try...and for happy hour!

Tasty traditional Japanese food with nice cuts of fish. Nice atmosphere with great service as well.

Had the bone marrow bibimbap tonight and some Yuri sorbet! Both were delicious! The prices and service were great! Highly recommend!

The interior of this restaurant is stunning and creates a relaxing atmosphere. Although it appears small from the outside, they actually have a spacious dining area along with a private section. The bone marrow bibimbap is the best dish I've ever tasted; it offers a rich and deep flavor. The wagyu TKG is visually appealing, but I feel that many of the other ingredients overshadow the taste of the meat. The service here is exceptionally attentive and friendly.
