Description

At Viaggio, patrons are greeted with excellent service and a charming atmosphere, setting the stage for a promising dining experience. However, the food often leaves diners wanting more. Disappointments include overly salty soups, bland clams, and dishes that fall short of authentic Italian cuisine. Some guests have faced issues with reservations and slow service during busy times, while others noted the kitchen running out of popular items. Despite these hurdles, many express a willingness to return, hoping for better food and smoother service in future visits. Viaggio holds potential but needs to address its inconsistencies.

However, the food left something to be desired. We came here to try something new nearby, particularly the gnocchi, but they were out of that dish. My wife ended up ordering the Pappardelle De Carbonara instead, but she was a bit disappointed with the heavy application of white cream sauce. In hindsight, she probably should have requested it with olive oil and garlic, which is our fault for not asking. As for me, I haven’t had Osso Bucco in years and was eager to try it. It had a great flavor with a hint of curry. However, I remember Osso Bucco being tender enough to fall off the bone, easily cut with a fork. This time, I found myself needing a knife to cut the meat from the bone and separate the pieces. Perhaps this is just a different preparation, but it wasn't quite what I expected. Overall, we appreciate the wonderful staff who were attentive to us throughout the meal. Thank you! Aloha, Lek Cara.

This is my second visit to Viaggio, and I want to focus on my experience with the reservation made through OpenTable. I booked my table two months in advance, but when I arrived for dinner, Viaggio didn't have my reservation in their system. I even called the restaurant a few days before my visit to confirm. Although it was an incredibly busy night, I have to commend the host for managing to seat us. However, I left feeling discouraged about returning if this issue isn't addressed. The service at Viaggio was very slow—understandably, given the crowd—and the kitchen even ran out of one of the dishes my guest ordered, which happened to be one of their most popular items. Moving forward, I recommend that they consider hiring more staff and ensuring they have enough food available based on the number of reservations. Overall, I would consider visiting Viaggio again due to its convenience and location.

If you grew up on the East Coast, you might not think of this as Italian food. The atmosphere and service were outstanding, but the food didn't quite meet expectations.

Everything was at the point in this facility. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants an intimate 5-star experience. The food was amazing and I definitely go back to taste the different dishes.

My sister and I enjoyed our dinner. There was one little hiccup, though. When the waiter was taking my order I asked a few questions about what came with my dish (chicken piccata). I asked for a side of pasta and agreed to the linguine. And then he walked away but DIDN'T take my sister's order! We had to flag him down to give him her order! One more little thing...I know pasta because I worked in two different Italian restaurants. I didn't get linguine...it was thin spaghetti. Linguine is a flat pasta. However, I am willing to give the restaurant another shot.
