Tropics Grill - Honolulu

The restaurant offers stunning ocean views and provides excellent service, but I would rate the food a 4 out of 10. Given the price range and location, I expected much better. Our group tried several different dishes, and most were just average. I can't recommend the chicken nachos or the boneless chicken bites. However, the Caesar salad was quite good. Overall, I wouldn't return for the food, but I would stop by for a drink and enjoy the view—that's about it.

This was our first meal on the island. We were seated right away and handed a menu, I loved the waiter, he was adorable with a great personality. Hubby ordered a poke bowl (which he had been waiting since we left California) I order nachos,.he said his poke bowl was fantastic and would definitely be back. I definitely recommend this place.

Well of course cost is as normal for Hawaii to which I don't care to pay so long as I get the authentic flavor to which we did not. I got the Brisket and she got the Shrimp and Turf. Brisket did have a good sauce, was tender, and amount was good. But the flavor was average to be in a place called Hawaii. Shrimp and Turf was actually better and some good chili sauce. But again nothing over the top. We also had the Blue Hawaii and the Hula Girl drinks which were good and

Our waiter Andrew was fantastic. The service was quick and efficient, the food and drinks were excellent, and the island vibe was delightful. We really appreciated the variety on the menu. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's not cheap, and you might have to wait a bit for a table.

This hotel restaurant is perfectly acceptable. The staff are wonderful, and it's usually quite busy since it's the most convenient dining option for Hilton guests. The food is tasty but not exceptional, and the portion sizes are generous. I recommend dining here on your first or last day because it's a hassle-free choice that suits those occasions well.
