The most magical spot to spend time relaxing and enjoying an after dinner drink or specialty coffee or dessert while listening to wonderful live music. Also the best High Tea on the island served daily. A treat not to be missed! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Veranda:
Used to be a great place, however, since taken over by Marriott, it has declined in food service, ambiance and overall. Marriott or new management is ruining this grand old lady of Waikik. I have gone there since and my husband grew up here. So sad to see this decline View all feedback.
I loved going to see David Swanson perform on the piano last night. He played "Cream" by Prince and it was amazing!
I'm very elevated experience. The live piano is wonderful. Staff is friendly, but I'll be honest it's beautiful and comfortable. There's a nice dance floor where we boogie down. This is the location I fell in love with my wife. Special place in my heart to visit with my children too. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this place, I highly recommend that you do. Friday nights at the veranda are my favorite. With awesome local musicians, and good food, don’t forget to save room for dessert because they have the best. But make sure to make reservations for they are always booked and not able to accommodate.
The tea service at this restaurant is excellent any day of the week. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the guava cake that was once a favorite. The sandwiches are delicious, and they now have a tea cart for a more elegant experience. However, dining outside on the lanai is no longer an option. The food is still good and the service remains outstanding, but the prices have doubled. Guests now have to prepay $80 for tea, which includes clotted cream, lemon liliokoi butter, and pineapple butter for the scones. The selection of white teas has decreased, limiting options. The parking is validated and free for up to 4 hours for self-parking. Valet parking is also available, with free parking for up to 4 hours, but remember to tip. Be sure to check out the new menu for updated offerings.
Johnny Valentine is amazing! We wish he could play for longer. Every table is filled when he stops playing. I'm sure he brings in more revenue for Veranda. Additionally, the staff is excellent. Host Sandy, server Cinaliza, and sushi chef are all very friendly and appreciative.
