What User doesn't like about The Street A Michael Mina Social House:
Disgusting and dissatisfied. I ordered from doordash because the pictures looked amazing. I ordered the fried chicken plate. First, the batter was under seasoned. No flavor or salt! My chicken thigh was undercooked! Mashed potatoes and green beans tasted microwaved. The only thing I can say that was good is the mac and cheese. Its really good. Situated in the midst of the bustling neighborhood, this convenient food hall provides a welcome escape for sunburned, thirsty, and hungry travelers. The onion rings, burgers, North Shore-style shrimp, and local beers are all delightful options. The ambient lighting and the opportunity for people-watching add to the experience. I just wish the Myna tiki bar opened earlier!
As an indie girl visiting the food hall, I had a fantastic dining experience! You can definitely tell that a lot of thought has gone into the menu. I absolutely loved the salad and Buddha bowl—normally, I don’t order salads, but these were too tempting to resist. On the positive side, the dishes were delicious and creative, packed with flavor. I was not disappointed with anything I tried. The only downside was the price point, but that seems to be in line with everything else in the area. I found myself wanting to order more because everything was so tasty! The portion sizes were reasonable for an average eater, but since I have a hearty appetite, I could have gone for a bit more.
The dining experience was fantastic, and the presentation and atmosphere were incredibly Instagram-worthy. With a diverse menu, it was easy for our large group to find dishes that suited everyone's tastes. Everything we ordered—food and drinks alike—was delicious, but the smoked dishes were the standout favorites.
We sampled the Mochiko chicken bowl from the Ramen Bar (my favorite), St Louis style ribs with various sides from international smoke, Harissa Chicken Lafa from Little Lafa and Smoke Prime Rib Sandwich from Battle Royale (super delish the ramen from ramen bar was a bit disappointing though. The miso broth lacked depth, flavor and thickness. The noodles should have been more al dente. They use a soft boiled egg as opposed to marinated ramen egg
