Description

A neighborhood sushi spot known for affordable takeout, steady pickup service and popular party platters, with several loyal regulars praising its flavors. Free parking and an ADA path make quick visits easy, but the dining room feels worn and nearby street activity discourages lingering. Inconsistent order accuracy, slow delivery substitutions and spotty customer service sometimes mar the experience — double-check orders. Good value for takeout lovers, though quality and service can be uneven.

Once I got to my friend's house, I realized her Poke Salad was missing. I called the restaurant to inquire about it, and all the girl could say was, "Did you want to order it now?" I explained that my friend didn’t have her meal, just her sides. When I placed the order, each time I called, she put me on hold to tell someone. When she finally returned, she told me, “We don’t have that dish.” I was taken aback. "Is that why I didn’t receive it?" I asked. She confirmed that it was. I couldn’t believe it. I asked her if it didn’t occur to her to mention that so I could choose something else. She fell silent and then asked, “So do you want to order something?” Wow, even voice assistants like Alexa or Siri show better manners! There was not a single apology offered. The food was inexpensive, but honestly, it wasn’t worth it. Very disappointing customer service.

I've been visiting this restaurant since 2013 and plan to keep coming back as long as they stay in business. I liked both the previous owners and the current ones. Making sushi myself has deepened my appreciation for the high quality of the food they serve.

My husband often brings me here, and while I absolutely love the food and the service, my only complaint is the price. However, it's difficult to find sushi of this quality anywhere else that doesn't charge at least one and a half times as much or more.

This sushi restaurant is the most lackadaisical place to dine. The quality of the fish is mediocre at best, not exceptional, but good enough to enjoy. I have ordered the same chicken and beef bento through Uber Eats four times, and each time I requested to remove the shrimp due to my allergy, they canceled my order. It is incredibly frustrating to deal with, as I am not informed that they cannot accommodate my request, and instead, I receive a delivery of two pieces of nigiri with no bento. This is unacceptable. I attempted to call the owner to express my dissatisfaction with their unprofessional handling of my orders, but was informed that they are never available. I have frequented the restaurant in person and requested the same order - a chicken and beef bento without shrimp - without any issue. It seems that when ordering through Uber, they struggle to handle substitutions, leading loyal customers to seek alternatives. If anyone is looking for recommendations, I suggest Aloha Sushi Genki or any other sushi restaurant in town that is up to date and able to handle substitutions without excuses or hassle.

The seared salmon nigiri with garlic is delicious, but everything else on the menu is mediocre and the staff can be a bit impolite.
