Sumo Ramen Curry - Honolulu

I ordered a soup and a soda, but the staff at the counter didn’t hand me the soda. When I asked for a refund, the employee said it wasn't possible. I pointed out that I had ordered both items, but he told me it was either one or the other. I requested a refund again, but was denied. Be cautious with the menu; it’s misleading. Food: 3/5.

This is one of the rare spots in Honolulu that offers ramen combos. The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes. My boyfriend and I both thought my seafood ramen was delicious, while he found his shoyu ramen to be just okay. The gyoza was quite good, but the fried rice was a bit bland, though still light and fluffy. I was taken aback by how close the seating was to the kitchen, and while it felt a bit warm inside, I appreciated how efficiently the restaurant utilized its space.

My boyfriend ordered the spam katsu curry with rice and nearly broke his tooth when he bit into a hard piece of plastic hidden in his meal. I didn't want to mention anything at first, but then I found a thick piece of paper in my fried rice omelette. That's two items that shouldn't have been there! While the food itself is good, these incidents pose a serious safety risk. Please be more careful when you prepare your dishes! We’re fortunate he didn’t actually break his tooth because that plastic was incredibly hard. Additionally, he felt that the lady at the counter was rude.

Service was great! The lady at the counter was so sweet and helpful. Gyoza was good! The ramen was bland and the curry was outright inedible unfortunately. The coke tofu wasn’t good either.

When you simply want reliable flavor while comfortably eating in peace and quiet after a long day here's where you come. We had the butter corn ramen, so good. As well as a Gyoza ramen combo, Chicken Katsu Curry combo, mini Kim Chee fried rice, Spam Katsu Curry everything was made perfectly.
