This restaurant is simply wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the staff is friendly with excellent service. While it is on the pricier side, the quality justifies it, and its location in the heart of Waikiki makes it even more appealing. It's definitely a beautiful spot for a romantic evening with your partner.
I often had a high-end sushi as I am an enthusiastic sushi lover and Sansei is the best I had so far. The Sansei special roles were excellent and worth the money you spend for them. It is definitely a setup, but what you get is worth the price. I would never guess to go without reservation because they are always packed.
Food and service were amazing! I was surprised how fast the food was on the table after we had ordered. We had a large group of 12 people and everything came out perfectly. The next time I listen to someone who talks about visiting Honolulu, I will tell them that they must go to Sansei!
Sansei is my favorite sushi restaurant in the world. It is always a great culinary experience. Freshest local fish unique signature preparations are a winning combination. They also have a half-priced happy hour for people. Very recommended!
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Everything tasted fresh, with the tuna and hamachi being particularly excellent. The salmon, however, was somewhat bland. It was cut thick, which is typical in the US, but that thickness unfortunately diminished both the flavor and texture. Thankfully, it wasn't as thick as what you might find in some lower-quality establishments. The service was outstanding; my sushi chef was both friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was enjoyable as well. While the prices were a bit higher, they were about average for a tourist area.
