this super popular deli on nuuanu avenue is my place for filling Korean favorites such as kalbi, fish jun, mandoo and grill huh. they can also get chicken or tofu katsu. I miss the Choy ban chan, but there are still pickled gurkens, bohnensprossen, broccoli, Kim-Ches, langreis and Schoyu potatoes. and of course the omnipresent mayonnaise-y mac salat I grew up to eat and love. What Elouise Dach doesn't like about Sam's Delicatessen:
Small hole in the wall eatery, parking is a bit tight but there might be more behind building or by Walgreens. A little pricy but food is worth it. Fried chicken wings is a winner. I'm really glad they have family packs and pupu platters for potlucks, also it comes with 4 choice of veges! Good place for korean food. If u plan to order family packs, lady said atleast 1 hr to call in advance. View all feedback.
Disappointed. they use to be good, I really liked them, but today we get veggie teller $12. bon sprouts/ cabbage/shoyu potato and Mac salad. kohl old black redd everywhere, chopjae only long rice no taste only sad, mac salat no taste and shoyu kartoffel no taste. I made grill pork bauch and kalbi on our Korean grill u thought we just need to go side to sams bad choice. never again. not proud of what they served us. yes cut back, but not taste rotten kohl.
As of late the service has been okay along with the food. Before everything used to be really good not sure if it's because of the pandemic that everything has been out of wack with them lately.
Something has happened to this restaurant the food 10 years ago impeccable amazing And now disaster Some of the food taste Like 830 wash cloth If their portions have changed from adultfrom metal to children's side very is very unreasonable and overpriced I'm not going back again I've talked to several other customers have have had the same Experience I give it a thumbs down not worth the money is money you spend for what you get overpriced surprised and is not satisfiable
This place has been here for some time and somehow hidden as only natives in the opposite know about it. but let me tell them that Korean eating is amazing. they have the best Korean fried chicken wings I've ever had. they are getting more expensive, but still so good.
