Moku Kitchen is a chef-driven concept that showcases Hawaii's rich upcountry farming and ranching heritage in downtown Honolulu. Our dishes are inspired by the locally-sourced food cooked over open fires on the ranches, with Chef Peter Merriman adding his own unique twist. Named after the Hawaiian word for "island," Moku is a welcoming gathering spot for all, whether you're a foodie, a family, or someone looking for an authentic taste of Hawaii. Come relax with a cold draft beer, carafe of wine, and a delicious meal, and feel at home at Moku Kitchen.

Feedback
Moku Kitchen is a lively and enjoyable restaurant with a dedicated staff that goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The atmosphere is fun, with a wide variety of food and drink choices. While some dishes like the garlic fries and ravioli were delicious, others like the fish and steak tacos fell short in flavor. The food overall is creative and delicious, with fish tacos and ribeye tacos standing out as favorites. The restaurant's cozy and festive ambiance, along with items like the cream brulé dessert, make it a great spot for a special dinner experience. However, the concept of ordering at the counter may not suit everyone's preferences. Overall, Moku Kitchen offers a high-quality menu, great service, and a potential to become a popular downtown dining destination.
We love sitting outside at Moku and the atmosphere is great, inside and out. I love that you can make reservations on OpenTable, easily and are seated as soon as it is it's time for your reservation. We find the music a bit too loud, inside and out as we like to bring friends from out of town here and enjoy having a good conversation but sometimes the music is too loud to hear each other. In general, we like the area and have come to Moku around 5 times in the last year.
Great place to have happy hour with your girls. Lots of options on their menu for everyone. Will definitely return.
The food was delicious and our service was excellent. The noise level is loud so impacts the ambiance. Had we had a table on the patio, it would have been quieter. Nonetheless, we would return. The corn chowder appetizer was delicious. No one complained about the food.
We were two couples who enjoyed an early afternoon meal at Moku. The food of tacos, burgers, and a shared mushroom pizza went over well. Alisa was the kind of server you want, someone who's knowledgable about the menu and there when needed.
