We had to make a reservation in advance, but we had a great dining experience at this restaurant! We decided to try it after hearing about its opening while visiting Bar Leather Apron. The dishes were all delicious, and we even splurged on some extras like caviar (not really necessary, but why not). I would give it 4 stars overall because while I didn't find any dish particularly outstanding, that's just me being picky. I was also pleased to see they offered non-alcoholic versions of their drink pairings, which I would recommend for anyone who prefers to avoid alcohol. The pairings were interesting and well thought out.
I really enjoyed the creativity and tastiness of each dish overall. My favorite was the unique and surprising texture and flavor of the appetizer “snack.” However, I was somewhat disappointed by the last rice dish, which used Matsutake mushroom. The fragrance and aroma of the mushroom were overshadowed by the strong garlic flavor. Despite this, the staff was very attentive and friendly, and the tableware was beautifully coordinated. The drinks were also unique and I had a wonderful time with my friends. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions.
This cozy restaurant offers amazing food and great service, but be prepared for small portions and a high price tag. Despite the limited space, Chef Ki showcases some of the best culinary talent in Hawaii. The tasting menu, paired with top-notch cocktails, is a must-try experience, but don't be surprised if you leave still feeling hungry, especially after adding on expensive extras like caviar. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that could be even better with a larger space.
This place was great. Parking was either street or park at Restaurant Row.Drinks were good, although the highlights were the various snacks they provide which rotates based on the week/whenever the chef wants to change it so it's not tied to the seasonal pre fixe menu.Food was all good, nice portions and pacing was excellent. The food tasted as well as it looked. We got the mocktail and the cocktail pairing. Everything seemed to go well. I would recommend you to do both, if you have multiple people since certain drinks did taste /match better. Service was great and everyone was polite and attentive. Modern ambiance with a quiet, modern atmosphere. Menus seem to change with the season. Will check it out again.
Been to a ton of fine dining restaurants and this one might top them all. This was an absolute treat of a meal, every single dish was unbelievable from start to finish. Cocktail pairings were great as was the service. Will definitely be back and tell all my friends about this spot!
