If you're thinking of getting the Christmas Eve dinner, I would say DO NOT do it. The prime rib was overcooked, dry, and sliced thin. The green bean had no flavor, the mash potatoes were OK, and rolls were regular. The only good thing was the apple pie. View all feedback.
If you are civilian and not on the guest list you will have to go to register at the guard shack entrance at Tripler Hospital which is a 5 minute drive away, this is understandable since it's a military installation, just a heads

Hale ‘Ikena was Excellent Venue for a Forum. Facilities Spacious and Service Superior.
Good place to hold events. Nice facility, both on the inside and outside. Professional staff. Some of the rules for events are oddly specific. The food is a bit meh, but it’s very budget friendly.
You can have a catered private party there. There is Polynesian lady (don't know her name). She did a great job in creating a welcoming, accommodating and enjoyable evening.
