Guava Smoked - Honolulu

I removed 1 star because it was hard to find. It's almost like they were trying to hide it. For some reason, they took down all their signs facing the main street. The only reason I even found it was because I had been there a couple of years ago, so I had an idea where to look. Once you turn the corner and see the parking lot, you gotta walk in to see the small sign over the stairs.

I love their butter fish. It is so tasty too. The owner lady is very warm and welcoming. The son howevr looks like he doesn't want to be there. Overall, love the restaurant and their food!

I went around 7pm or so. No line, no wait! We sat wherever we wanted. I really enjoyed the smoked pork and definitely recommend it. You can easily walk from the Waikiki Beach (not too far imo) and it's worth the walk.

First off! This place is upstairs, go around the back to get up there. Lots of meat options to choose from, we went on a Saturday night and the Kilby was sold out, and there are no other beef options, kinda bummed about that.Ordered the mild pork plate with a tossed salad and a guava bar! Awesome bar. Speed for food isn't super fast, but it was worth it. The smoke flavor was awesome, it's different due to using guava wood.The rice was normal sticky rice, and was spot on. The salad, well I want a fan of the sauce. For me this place gets a solid 4.5 stars.

I had fun! The staff were kind, very helpful, and hilarious. I got the mixed plate and a side order because I wanted to try as much as possible, but I still have to go back because there is so much on the menu. The spicy pork was the winner but the chili was incredible too and the smoke salmon belly was really impressive. My wife had the loco moco and wanted seconds even though she was full.
