Overall, it's a good ramen spot. My daughter loves it. We've been back 2 times since our initial visit. I had the spicy tonkatsu ramen. The broth was not oily at all. It was rich and mildly spicy. The Cha Sui was tasty and thick. The noodles were cooked al dente providing some resistance when I was chewing. I also had the chicken katsu as a side dish. This was also cooked very well. The breading was light and crunchy... View all feedback.
What Robert Popa Emil doesn't like about Daiichi Ramen Kahala:
A nice and clean ramen shop with friendly service. Located in a crowded strip mall in Kahala where parking is tight, even for compact vehicles. The watery soup bases are on the salty side, the noodles are served soggy and the meats are tough and chewy. The noodles should be of better quality if one is spending an average of $15 per bowl. GTR is just accross the street where the ramem is exceptionally better.Parking:... View all feedback.
Overall, this is a great ramen place. My daughter absolutely loves it, and we've returned twice since our first visit. I tried the spicy tonkotsu ramen, which had a rich and mildly spicy broth that wasn't oily at all. The chashu was delicious and nicely thick. The noodles were cooked al dente, giving them a satisfying bite. I also ordered the chicken katsu as a side, and it was equally well-prepared. The breading was light and crunchy without being greasy. All in all, it was a delightful dining experience.
I ordered katsu curry, but the rice was hard. I mentioned this to them over the phone, but the person I spoke to insisted that when they had their lunch, the rice wasn't hard and suggested that I must have taken too long to eat it.
I truly enjoy dining at this restaurant because of the extensive variety on their menu. The atmosphere is both clean and beautiful. I would suggest playing some calming music to enhance the experience. Additionally, it would be great to see green tea ice cream added to the menu to complement the exquisite dishes offered. I highly recommend this restaurant to others, and I've already started spreading the word!
Staff was okay and the prices arent bad but the food wasn’t that good. I got the miso ramen and it was salty and the noodles were a little hard. I also got an order of gyoza and it was burnt so i couldnt eat it. Really disappointed.
