Creating a salad and ordering one at the counter. Hit the spot. An annoyance, they did not deliver plastic utensils. I've got all the foods out of the food and I didn't find anything to eat. I came back all the way and the woman told me about a hawaii state law on utensils. You have to ask for them? The restaurant cannot ask if you need it or even offer it without asking? That may be, but really, a sign might be nice... View all feedback.
What Gardner Moore doesn't like about California Pizza Kitchen At Kahala Mall:
Great place to eat delicious pizza and other great dishes; but wait long to sit, and another long wait to be served were two desirable deficiencies. In addition, with more than a few sections that do not open to seats, really earn at least a lesser star, regardless of five stars for their dishes. View all feedback.
I really enjoyed making my own salad and ordering at the counter; it was just what I needed. However, I was frustrated that they didn't provide plastic utensils. After getting all my food, I realized I had nothing to eat with. When I went back to ask for them, the woman explained that there's a law in Hawaii regarding utensils—you have to request them. I get it, but it would be helpful to have a sign about this.
BarBQ chicken pizza disappointing. Now mostly crust. They really cut back on the ingredients. Supply chain issue? I doubt it. Won't go back. Dessert incredibly small. I've eaten here many times. Portion size has definitely declined.
I requested a different seat and was told it would take about 5 minutes. After waiting for 10 minutes, two customers were seated before me. The staff seemed indifferent and made no eye contact. When I was leaving, the communication from the front counter was quite unprofessional. The girl working there was not accommodating at all. I’ve had great experiences at Chili's, and I was really satisfied with their staff. Unfortunately, this is my first negative review.
The Kahala Mall location was bustling with diners on a Sunday afternoon. All the pizzas our party of four enjoyed were excellently prepared and, despite their seemingly small size, had plenty of filling! The cauliflower thin crust Hawaiian ham and pineapple pizza was a delightful surprise. I highly recommend it as a fantastic alternative for those with wheat intolerance, offering a satisfying experience compared to the traditional (which is also good) crust.
I really like this place! Tasty food but quite expensive. $20 for a medium pizza is a bit high. Though, the quality is good. I liked their Italian sausage they make there and the sauce is nice! I dipped the crusts in the complimentary oil/herb mix they give with the bread when you arrive. I saw some people complaining about the wait, but it was insanely busy! Lots of room for customers and nearly every seat was filled. It probably took about 30 minutes for 3 pizzas, two chicken picattas and two different salads. Not too bad considering the amount of people there! The only reason it isn't 5 stars is the price. When we were done, it was $243 including tip. With that said, we got one drink, two desserts and two pizzas to take home(it's $10 for a prebaked if your order an entree)
