What Kari Boyer doesn't like about Cabanas The Kahala Resort:
It was very sad for the children.. in the past they were at least able to decorate their own Christmas cookies, get their faces painted, balloons made to their favorite character and enjoy the bouncy house.. View all feedback.

I was quite unhappy with my experience at the restaurant. When I made the reservation through OT, there was no indication that it was a sushi-only menu. Once seated, I was given a menu like everyone else, and only when I was ready to order did I find out I could only choose sushi. I expressed my concerns to the restaurant manager, who told me I must not have read the OT screen correctly. He said he would look into it but then disappeared, which I found extremely disrespectful. While waiting, I checked the OT reservation screen and realized he was mistaken. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I was frustrated that I couldn’t even get a drink to accompany my sushi. Don't expect me to recommend this place to my friends; I won't, as I felt I was treated very poorly.
The first time to try the new sushi menu--spicy ahi roll and california roll were fantastic! and the Friday night live music by johnny valentine and sohn is worth the effort to visit any chance they get!
The experience was good overall. The cocktails were enjoyable, but I don't think they were worth $20 each. We ordered the caviar, which was excellent, but it only came with six Bellinis. When I asked for more, the waitress made a big fuss about them being an additional $4 each.
Food is excellent. Limited menu. I loathe the fact they have captive dolphins and you could hear them clapping their jaws. Beautiful hotel but I don’t think I can stay here again unless they free them. It’s heartbreaking. Dolphins belong in the oceans not small enclosures. It’s unethical and there is no justification for this kind of cruelty in this day and age.
