Waikiki Yokocho is truly a gem in Waikiki. While the food can be pricey, I believe it's worth paying for quality Japanese cuisine. We chose Baikohken from the four ramen spots in Yokocho, particularly because it offers Hokkaido-style ramen. We both ordered the special ramen to share, along with a soft-boiled egg and a beer. The broths and noodles were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the thick-cut menma. My only complaint is that the egg was slightly overcooked and not quite the perfect soft-boiled consistency I was hoping for. Also, be aware that a 15% service charge is automatically added for Japanese tourists who might not be accustomed to tipping.
A fantastic restaurant! I tried the Shio wheels, and they had delicious flavors that weren’t too salty. The noodles had a great texture, and the char siu had a wonderful smoky taste. Highly recommend!
Fortunately, I've never had bad ramen anywhere. While some places are better than others, this one stands out as one of the best.
