Known primarily for its oxtail soup, diners appreciate the generous portions, though opinions on taste and broth quality vary. Popular dishes like chicken katsu and various rice plates are met with enthusiasm for their flavor and value. While service is generally praised for being friendly and attentive, some guests note occasional delays during busy hours. With a mix of traditional Japanese comfort food and Hawaiian specialties, this eatery remains a go-to spot for those seeking hearty meals in a relaxed setting.
Chris was welcoming and pleasant. His service was fast and friendly! All 6 of us were worthy of the local style food and atmosphere. Will definitely return for the other menu options and good vibes!
Oxtail was AAAAA. Worth visiting, less magic. Perhaps smaller shares are now the trend to keep prices fair. B.
Asahi Grill offers good local cuisine. The portions were generous and very satisfying. Our waiting person was friendly and service-oriented. I'd eat there again.
Oxtail soup was very meaty and broth wonderful, not too salty or greasy. It would have been perfect if it had more peanuts like I remember for the original Kam Bowl. Service was excellent prompt, courteous, knowledgable and very friendly. Our first visit but we felt right at home. Definitely will be back!
A wide range of comfort food menu items from cheeseburger and saimin, to chopped steak, to chicken kastu curry. all so good! and very affordable.
