Chinese Inn Restaurant - Holt

The service and staff at this restaurant are very friendly. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. Ordering directly from the restaurant or having it delivered by their own drivers is a more cost-effective option compared to using delivery services.

We booked for Mother’s Day, having dined here many times over the years. Tonight we experienced an absolute disregard for their customers. When we arrived , it took 10 minutes just to be seated. They had about 5-15 people there at any one time for takeaway plus Uber eats drivers in and out constantly. Complete disregard for their dine in customers who were left waiting for meals for hours. We were there for an hour and in that time got one entree plus prawn crackers. Our second entree of steamed dim sims was served after most of our mains and entree came at completely cold in the middle, which my husband discovered after eating a bite out of his. After mentioning it to the waiter, they were taken away and the same dish was served back to us, having been heated in the microwave. Meanwhile our two young children were exhausted and hungry, our elderly parents were exhausted and yet they just kept taking more and more phone orders. After 2 hours, and $240+ spent, no apologies and no understanding that they should stop taking orders when they can meet the demand.

This restaurant is awful. The food was completely terrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. They did not deliver the food we ordered. They cancelled the order after 20 minutes of cooking for no apparent reason. They should have informed us beforehand if they were unable to deliver. We were left waiting and depending on them, only to have our order cancelled at the last minute. This is unacceptable.

Restaurant is up and down. Staff while friendly do not appear to take care in their orders. Our food drifted out with last dish forgotten. No real concern shown for mix up. They seem to have slipped Thought we would give them this time but were let down. Will be looking elsewhere.

Waited two hours for my home delivery. When I rang back they had forgotten my order. I won’t be using them again too unreliable
