Our daughter enjoys sitting at the children... read more We had a great visit to Diner Essen. The fries were excellent, and the peanut butter ice cream dessert is fantastic! Our daughter enjoys sitting at the children's tables. The service was decent, though it was quite slow during one of our visits, likely because it was busy. We enjoy stopping by for lunch or dessert after a walk.

It was nothing like what I remember from my childhood. I ordered the BBQ Pork Sandwich with fries. The sandwich was served on a Talame-style bun, piled high with sweet, juicy pulled pork, bacon, tangy coleslaw, and real cheddar cheese. The fries were great as well, but the sandwich stole the show!
