we've been back for three times since that's changed. they still have the delicious breakfast from the earlier jacqlon’s cafe. we have tried a lot of breakfast dishes, quality has been obtained. in the conversation with the owner, sounds like long-term plan is the breakfast menu (we hope so) with the addition of Mexican themes entrees / drinks to lunch and maybe dinner sometime! Ordered chorizo tacos. Hands down the best in the La Crosse area.
Superb little restaurant. Not quite hole in the wall but very quaint, and since I had been craving something more fresh after being in the la crosse area for a bit, this satisfied my wishes completely. I had shrimp tacos and they were delicious. Very very good beans and rice and also, the chips and salsa were excellent. My husband got carne asada which was also a great choice. Will be back, and the menu variety was excellent as well. In particular, I would return for breakfast since I have yet to find a place I’ve been very pleased with. As someone who seeks a clean and detailed restaurant along with delicious food, this place had it all. 10/10 for cleanliness.
Ordered Friday fish to go, food was excellent, as good or better than any other Place we’ve had Friday fish. Good price point, food was hot everything very good. Will be our new go to Friday fish.
Food was good, service was OK but it was busy. Loud tho, nothing to absorb sound. Update, food portions seem smaller, service was great, I noticed what looked like sound dampener panels on the ceiling, seems like it's helping with noise.
Mexican is my favorite in Michigan, not here. Subpar small portions for the price, all meals. Tried 3 times. Very disappointed. Female waiter friendly.
