I got a chicken taco and lamb taco and I was very disappointed! It looked nothing like the pictures and was missing the sides of chutney. The meat had good flavor but it was just a small amount of meat plus a heap of iceberg lettuce- that’s it! Itcould’ve been so much more! It could’ve had pickled onions and chutney and cilantro and wayyyy less lettuce. I’m very letdown that they aren’t taking this idea and running with it to a better quality degree. I can’t say I’d get this again.
Great food authentic Indian spices, fast service, affordable price. But… the usual dilemma for small places who work for dining in and delivery same time. Service: We saw just 2 people in the place on Saturday night. You can tell it’s a couplewho struggle to run the business … The tired lady didn’t speak basic English. She asked 3 times if we want anything elseafter we said in various forms: “that’s it”, “no thank you”, “we are good” … No table water available? Why? Iasked for a silverware: the lady didn’t understand when I even brought plastic fork to her window… After some time thegentleman came to the window and later on brought silverware to the table. They have 2 flyers of a menu: one to go and other toorder indoor. When we arrived it was kind of irritating as both menus had a lot of items. Interior ambiance: Nice brick wallwith charming half round windows. Unfortunately the entry of this place is full of packed boxes that looks like a backstorage. You order at the little window that is connected directly to the kitchen. No music was playing it felt off. Cosylighting was on. When we sat at the table I took a napkin to wipe off the rest crumbles of the previous guests. I wanted towash my hands afterwards before the eating the food. I had to go though the kitchen and storage to get to the bathroom wheredoor was not even locking. I felt like back to India not in a good way … : Food: Greatly spiced food. To my surprise Ifound pieces of fresh tomatoes and nasty bell peppers which I’m allergic to) in my lentil spinach daal. Maybe that’s theleft overs from some Mexican dish.. oh my… Usually in other Indian places, dishes come with the either naan or rice. Herequite cheap vegan dish 10.95 you had to pay extra 3.95 for naan and 4.95 for rice what ended up together to average 16$dish… Mango lassy too thick… Garlic naan was too dry. Garlic was brown on the top and bottom of naan crumbled. We bothleft restaurant and went buyi
Best deshi style food I’ve ever had in California. Make sure to add lamb biryani in your order to taste deshi moist biriyani. And yes tandoori was special as well. Thanks Alam Tumpa for hosting us Tanvir Zini
I tried different vegetarian dishes (mild) for four nights at this restaurant and the food was excellent. I sampled plain Naan, Garlic Naan, and Parmesan Naan, as well as Vegetable Samosas and Paneer Tacos with two delicious chutneys. Many of the vegetarian dishes contained cashews, but I was able to find tasty options like Vegetable Curry, Vegetable Coconut Curry, Aloo Ghobi, and Chana Bhuna without cashews. The Vegetable Biryani was generous enough to feed two people, and adding Raitha completed the meal. The new owner mentioned that he took over the restaurant five months ago. The restaurant is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from the Hampton Inn Suites Los Angeles/Hollywood, making it easy to order, pick up, and enjoy hot food.
