Even though we don't go there regularly, she remembers our family composition well, which is surprising and delightful! The delicious ramen is thanks to the master. Having been going there for over 20 years, it feels like home. However, the landlady seems to be adept at dealing with customers who are in a hurry or who are not comfortable being approached. Amazing! I always admire the fine line she walks in customer service. It's my favorite place that fills both my stomach and heart.

The soup was light with no greasiness, and had a mellow taste on the palate. The noodles were straight and accompanied by crunchy bean sprouts and slightly thicker slices of chashu. It was a simple yet satisfying dish. It seemed like many customers were ordering champon. I was surprised to find hayashi rice on the menu. While it was too light for my preference of heavier flavors, I appreciated the owner's energy, the speedy service, and the affordability.

However, the hayashi rice could use more depth of flavor. It felt more like a pre-made dish rather than homemade, but it was rare to find hayashi rice at a ramen restaurant. I was happy just to have my favorite hayashi rice available.
