I am a person who cannot... read more We had a wonderful time at the Beer Works tonight. It was a weeknight and not too busy. Our server, James, provided excellent service. I am a person who cannot eat any dairy products, which I reported to James. He took me quite seriously. He came back to verify questions in regards to my order. When the food came, the manager delivered it and assured me it was dairy-free. My meal was excellent. We had shared appetizers and I ordered the lobster avocado toast as my meal. It was a generous portion and tasted very good. My friend ordered Turkey Tips, which were also yummy. Everything I tasted was delicious. Our service was great! I recommend going here if you want a fun restaurant on the water with both indoor and outdoor dining... a variety of brews and good food and service! Try this restaurant out... and if James is working, ask to be seated at one of his tables!

At first visit the apps (duck spring rolls and pork belly steamed buns) were very tasty, but my rare burger came out well done. To be fair the manager came out and apologized and got me another, but that was again done medium at best. My wife described the seasoning on her salmon as only okay. Went back with a big group of over 20 a few days ago. The service was attentive, and all the food came out at the same time and hot. Most seemed to enjoy their fare. I went with the steak and ale pie this time, since that would be hard to overcook. Nice flaky crust and tender meat, but by about halfway through the saltiness overwhelmed the other flavors. Great place to meet friends but not a destination specifically for food
