Tl;dr. The WORST service we have ever had at a restaurant. Left my birthday dinner hungry because 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering food our waitress only br... read more Tl;dr. The WORST service we have ever had at a restaurant. Left my birthday dinner hungry because 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering food our waitress only brought us a cup of soup, which she only remembered because we cancelled our salad. We believe our waitress forgot about us. My husband made reservations for Friday night at 6:45. In the reservation he noted that we were celebrating my birthday. We arrived on time and were told our table wasn’t ready for another 10-15 minutes. No big deal, we went to the bar for a round of drinks. Before we could even order our drinks, we were told that they were mistaken, and our table on the patio actually was ready. Great! We were seated, and quickly ordered our drinks. By the time our waitress came back with our cocktails we were ready to order. We knew what we wanted so we put in our full order-a soup, the summer salad, and two entrees. From there everything went downhill. Our soup and salad never came. Our drinks ran empty so my husband went to the bar to order our second round, since our waitress never came back to check on us or bring our first courses. Finally, 35-40 minutes after ordering I called our waitress over after she finished with a neighboring table and told her to cancel our salad, as it would come too close to our main entrees now. She insisted that it was coming right out in a few minutes. I still maintained that it had taken too long and we no longer wanted it. After cancelling the salad, she was quick to return with the clam chowder soup, but it still took about 30 minutes longer than it should have. My husband finished the soup and we realized that we were approaching an hour since we ordered, and about 15 minutes since our waitress brought the soup. Two neighboring tables with the same waitress were waiting about 15-20 minutes for their bill. We were all looking at each other like, “where IS our waitress?” She had been MIA for about 20 minutes. She finally came and brought the two other tables their bills. As she walked by she told us our entrees would be out in 2 minutes. Well, we gave it another 10 minutes, and then we gave up and left. I cannot review the food. It was such a disappointment to leave my birthday dinner hungry. My husband and I have both worked in food service. We have patience, and understanding for how hard the staff is working. We both agree this was by far the worst service we have ever had. We felt completely ignored by our waitress, which is totally unacceptable in any restaurant, but especially a restaurant that has $40-50 entrees Also worth noting that our waitress seemed to want to throw other staff under the bus. When we ordered our first drinks she said the bartender was “running behind”, but our drinks came out fast. When my husband went up to order our second round because our waitress was nowhere to be found, the bartender was quick and attentive. He made an excellent espresso martini! When we cancelled our salad was not out 40 minutes after ordering, she threw the kitchen staff under the bus. To us, it looked like all the other tables on the patio with different waitresses were getting their food in a reasonable amount of time. Service: 1
