This happened before,... read more The staff at the door are incompetent. They turned away our group because we didn't have any women with us and claimed we were too drunk. This happened before, but I didn't leave a review because I thought maybe we were drunk. However, today we were rejected even though the pub was empty. They lied about us being kicked out of another pub. In contrast, we have had positive experiences at Wetherspoons nearby with friendly door staff. The person at the door today, without any identification, became physical with me when I questioned why we were not allowed in. I was not aggressive, but this individual pushed me three times and falsely accused me of being threatening. This treatment of male customers on a Saturday night is unacceptable. Avoid this place unless you are female, as the door staff are sexist. We have no interest in causing trouble, but the door staff's behavior is disgraceful. This review is not about the establishment itself, but the door staff need to be replaced. I have been turned away unfairly before. It seems like they don't care about their business or customers. The door staff need to check their egos and stop mistreating male customers. I won't be returning due to the poor treatment and lack of professionalism. If this happens again, I will take action. Whelans, please address this issue with your door staff before you lose more customers.

The establishment appeared to be fairly clean, although... read more After being in Uxbridge for 6 months, my colleagues and I decided to visit this restaurant for a drink. The establishment appeared to be fairly clean, although the toilets had not been cleaned by the staff. The employees were impolite, informing us that hats were not allowed due to CCTV surveillance. This was not a welcoming environment in any way. I would recommend either replacing the staff or providing them with additional training. In the meantime, we will not be spending our money here. It's no surprise that the restaurant is empty.
