The Lakehouse Restaurant

We split a green salad with maple dijon dressing. It was fresh and delicious. I had the mushroom risotto. It was creamy and satisfying. My friend had prime rib. It was grilled to perfection and came with a yorkie and fresh veggies. Creme Brule to top it off! Yummy! Lots of gluten free options. Recommend reservations especially if you want a beautiful view of the lake.

We landed here on a whim. We are glad we dropped by. The meal exceeded all of our expectations and was delicious and not overly expensive. Beware as the portions are very generous. We plan on returning again..Oh yes, we forgot to mention the fabulous views of lake Paudash too.

Our server was great! He was helpful and informative with menu and drink options. The Elk was prepared perfectly and the risotto was also very good. I, however, was disappointed with the prime rib special. It was very thin and fatty with almost half of it left on my plate, because it was not suitable. We didn't have reservations, so we could not sit in the covered outside area. I would go back for location and scenery and service and would order something else.

We stopped in for Lunch......the food was amazing, we had the lamb burger and bison burger and would highly recommend them both. Staff were very friendly and overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Will go back to try their dinner/supper menu!

A bit outside of Bancroft on Hwy 28. Comfortable venue on the lake with a closed in patio area serves a large variety of appetizers and mains. Large choice of bottled beer as well as taps. Service was friendly, and the food was good. Recommended.
