Description
**Crackerjack: A Mixed Bag of Takeout Delights**
Crackerjack offers a diverse takeout menu, popular for its half chicken and chips combo, and highly praised for its delicious gravy and chips. While some dishes, like the bunless burger and fish and chips, left customers disappointed due to issues with overcooking and oiliness, many patrons rave about the fresh, satisfying meals overall. The service garners high marks, with friendly staff noted for their attentiveness. Despite minor concerns like the need for better wrap designs and occasional salty chips, Crackerjack remains a firm favorite for quick, tasty dinner options, bolstered by ample free parking for convenience.

If you're going to offer wraps on the menu, please ensure that they can be eaten without the need for a knife and fork. I was really disappointed to find out I had to do that when I got home—it was quite a mess. This happened on March 21, 2024, around 5:55 PM, after I ordered from Highfields Crackerjack between 5:45 and 6 PM.
As far as chicken shops go, it's solid. I'm 95% sure the chicken is real. The gravy is salty and mostly preservatives, as you would hope classic chicken shop gravy. My server (name unknown) was apologetic for the wait time. I hold no grudges for having a chinwag out the back on a quiet Friday night (I heard every word). Apology accepted. Service was friendly and all workers deserve a bonus. The small chips are large. The fillet burger, whilst not pretty, is tasty. A man came in only to buy 2L of softdrink for twice the price of the supermarket 3 doors down. Another man practiced his basketball shots on the footpath out the front. I hope he makes the NBA some day.
