I have only been with this sacredness, but they are amazing and treat the animals with respect. they also have the important vegan training that do not have and should have all sanctuaries. their tours are very informative and educational. the animals are well maintained and obviously very happy! the staff is also super friendly! I have been there three times before and I am a member, besides more frequent donations.... View all feedback.
A truly unique experience. Not a shining zoo; they are a little more of the way you can interact with the animals if the animals are interested. But you will have almost certain interaction; especially those goats. When you take the tour, they will allow you the gates with the animals, and tell a bit about their stories and struggles, along with a lot of surprising information about animal farming. My guide was very generous and helpful, although probably just a bit heavy with the vegan messaging for some people I imagine, but not enough to not enjoy the overall experience. The whole staff was super friendly. Wasn't crowded for us at all and was a beautiful day.
I recently visited this sanctuary and was truly impressed by the amazing care and respect shown towards the animals. What sets this sanctuary apart is their comprehensive vegan education, which is a feature that all sanctuaries should have. The guided tours are very informative and educational. The animals are well looked after and seem to be very happy. The staff is also incredibly friendly. I have visited three times already and have become a frequent donor and member. The events held at the sanctuary feature excellent vegan food options from local suppliers. I highly recommend this peaceful place to anyone looking to meet rescued animals living their best lives. The gift shop also offers a great selection of vegan snacks. Overall, this sanctuary comes highly recommended for all individuals interested in veganism.
My friend and I visited Woodstock in July 2017 and decided to make a day trip to Catskill. We were really impressed with the staff at Woodstock - they were all so friendly and caring. The love and compassion they showed really shone through. They promote veganism and offer great informative tours. The animals were all adorable, and we even got to spend some time with the turkey, which was a wonderful experience.
This restaurant is a wonderful place to connect with the animals we all adore. The staff does fantastic work, and volunteering here for a day is truly rewarding and heartwarming.
