I have only been with this sacredness, but they are amazing and treat the animals with respect. they also have the important vegan training that do not have and should have all sanctuaries. their tours are very informative and educational. the animals are well maintained and obviously very happy! the staff is also super friendly! I have been there three times before and I am a member, besides more frequent donations.... View all feedback.
I have visited this sanctuary multiple times and they are truly amazing. They treat the animals with respect and provide important vegan education that not all sanctuaries offer. Their tours are informative and educational, showcasing the well-cared-for and happy animals. The staff is incredibly friendly. I have visited three times and am a member, as well as a frequent donor. Their events, when held, feature fantastic vegan food vendors. I especially miss those! Additionally, their gift shop offers vegan snacks and is a great place to support the sanctuary. It is a peaceful and rewarding experience to visit this sanctuary and meet the rescued animals living their best lives. I highly recommend it to all veg people!
A friend and I visited Woodstock in July 2017 and also took a trip to Catskill. We were impressed by the staff at Woodstock, who were extremely friendly and caring. Their love and compassion was evident in everything they did. The restaurant heavily promotes veganism and the tours were both educational and enjoyable. The animals were all very gentle and we even got to spend some time with the turkeys, which was a wonderful experience.
This restaurant is a fantastic place to connect with the animals we all adore. They do excellent work, and volunteering here is a fulfilling experience that will warm your heart.
A really unique experience. Not a petting zoo; they are a little more of the mindset that you can interact with the animals if the animals are interested. But you will almost certainly have interaction; especially from those goats. If you take the tour, they allow you into the gates with the animals, and tell you a bit about their stories and struggles, along with a lot of surprising info about the animal agriculture industry. My tour guide was very generous and helpful, though she was probably just a bit heavy-handed with the vegan messaging for some people I imagine, but not enough to not enjoy the experience overall. All the staff was super kind. Was not crowded at all for us, and was a beautiful day.
An amazing place to connect with the animals we all love. they do great work and get a full value volunteer and spend a day helping their inhabitants and filling their heart.
